Softball

Abby is playing girls softball this year. It is her first year and she really doesn't know what she is doing. She did, however, know enough to ask the umpire to clean off the base for her when she went up to bat the first time. The coach tried to pitch the ball and the umpire said, "Just a minute--Abby wants me to clean off the base for her." Mark and I were speechless. After that, when she ran into home base, she slid in--even though there was no one trying to get her out. She ran back out to us with a big grin and said, "I just wanted to do that". Pretty cute. I love this girl.
